Postby janetweeks » Thu Sep 17, 2015 10:05 pm

Training Sunday
Glenys Crockers who has taken part in the TV program Ancient Voices, demoing spinning and weaving with other volunteers doing cookery, metalwork etc.
Will be with the MCS on 25th October at Kingston Scout Hall, 293 Park Road, Kingston Upon Thames, KT2 5LY, from 12 - 6pm
She will be helping people in groups of 6 to master the drop spindle. Payment by donations to her favourite charity.
I will also bring my long draw spinning wheel for people to play with
She will be happy to discuss natural dyeing too - she has done some and has some books about it and notes from a summer school on eco dyeing.
Please let me know who would like to have a lesson so we have enough drop spindles.
If non MCS re enactors would also like to come please let me know - Janet

Err Lady Stafford? What cooking? We're only there from 12 -6 with a drop spindle practical...
Mind you, can using a drop spindle be classed as using an offensive weapon? :D
