Medieval Combat Society help the 3 Horshoes Pub to raise about £5500 with combat and medieval dancing displays set to a medieval backdrop.

Displaying weapons to the public

The Medieval Combat Society were delighted to take part in the Three Horseshoes public house Help for Heroes Charity event, donating their services free of charge to support this worthy cause, performing tournaments of knights in combat battling each other with sword, axe and mace, and entertained with displays of dancing, set to a medieval backdrop of living history and also compared for the charity auction.

Throughout the day members of the society were available to talk to the public about life in Medieval Times, with displays of Medieval Weaponry, armour, costume and clothing, as well as how they lived. Read the Herts and Essex Observer article Published: 22/07/2010 09:00
