Plough Monday - 1st Monday after Plough Sunday, Traditional day for returning to work in the fields after Yule.
Leap Day in the Middle Ages: Leap years present a problem for the calendar of saints days. In the ancient Roman calendar introduced by Julius Caesar, which was the basis of the medieval calendar, the extra day in a leap year was inserted as the "second sixth day" before the Kalends of March -- that is, the day after the 23rd day of February. This continued as a general practice in the Middle Ages. The day inserted after the 23rd was empty of saints, so the Feast of Matthew was moved from what, in a leap year, would be the 25th of February to fill the blank created by Leap Day (the 24th)
Easter - Easter in the Medeival period was calcualted against the Julian Calendsr. In short Easter was calculated as the first full moon after the Vernal Equinox, March 21. The full moon that precedes Easter is caled the Paschal moon. The Sunday after the Paschal full moon, the Paschal full moon may be between March 21 to April 18, thus the possible dates foir Easter are from March 22 to April 25. The moons cycle repeats itself in relation to the days of the year repeats itself every 19 years thus if one were calculated then Easter could be calculated according to tables and this number was called the 'Golden Number'.
